M.Sc - Bioinformatics & Clinical Trail Management(Non-Medical)
About the Department
Department of Bioinformatics was established in 2002. Bioinformatics has emerged as a separate discipline of study in life sciences bringing in the methods of mathematics, statistics and computer science to organize, analyze the biological data and to provide a molecular understanding of living systems. It has received greater attention in the post-genomic era. This has made it necessary to train a new breed of human resource skilled in both computing and biology.
The department is working to enrich and strengthen the young talents by producing competent students to excel in research and consultancy in Bioinformatics. We also strive to create a biologically ethical, safe environment for the society .In order to incorporate values beside classroom teaching the students are exposed to ample opportunities like, interaction with leading industries, project work, participation in debate, seminar, quiz, paper presentation etc. Job oriented certificate courses facilitate the students to compete in the current developing scenario. The Students of the department have excelled in both academics as well as extracurricular activities.
The faculty members are committed to maintain the high standard of education through technological advancements.
